Hi there. Thanks for joining me on my very first journey on the blogging seas. In the past, merely the word 'blog' would have me high-tailin it for the lifeboats, but with my departure for China looming, it seems that the water is calm and the winds are strong for the USS Blogger to set sail.
Alright enough with the nautical analogy...where did that come from, anyway? So the truth is, I never had much of a desire to join the ranks of the ever expanding world of bloggers. But the more I think about it, the more I truly want you to be a part of this new experience with me. I want you to wake up in your Western Hemisphere time zone and log onto your computer with your American Starbucks in hand, and still feel like you can beam across the globe to Southeast China. With me.
Taking the Impact World Tour and Call2All to Hong Kong has never been done, and I can't even begin to fathom how intense the next six months will be. We have until June to unite the body of Christ and pull off not only the largest evangelistic event, but also potentially the largest gathering of Christian leaders that China has ever seen. Right now we're in a bit of a holding pattern for our departure date. We currently don't have a place to live once we arrive in China, so as soon as we nail down that minor detail, we're off.
So come with me. I even packed a life jacket for you (again with the boats...I could do this all day...) I'll do my best to keep you afloat as I document life in Asia.
Love you all!
